This four-digit shape 5096 is a long, slender Prince stamped Grecian Briar, with a compact bowl and the elegant reach collectors expect from the shape. The button has been rebuilt, making this a sound smoking example rather than a mint collector piece. The pipe measures 6.51 inches long, with a 0.64-inch chamber opening and a chamber depth of 1.10 inches. The pipe is stamped “Super Grain”; “Kaywoodie”; “Grecian Briar”; “5096”. It has the rare Kaywoodie logo stamp on the shank which points to a very early production. There are markings on the bowl but I opted to not sand these down as I wanted to preserve the original shape of a pipe from this era.
