This Penthouse 133 briar pipe is a fine example of mid-century English pipe craftsmanship—classic, clean-lined, and built for an easy, reliable smoke. Made in England and stamped with “Penthouse Made in England” and shape number 133, this estate piece features a traditional billiard bowl with a smooth, dark mahogany finish and subtle hints of red grain peeking through the stain.
The stem is made of black vulcanite and fitted with a decorative stepped transition, giving it both visual distinction and ergonomic comfort. The pipe has a medium chamber—ideal for a leisurely 30–45 minute smoke—and a balanced profile that sits comfortably in hand or mouth.
Though not as widely known as Dunhill or GBD, Penthouse pipes were part of the second-tier English production houses, often produced for tobacconists or department stores. Pipes like this were likely manufactured in the same factories as other reputable English marques during the post-war period, making them excellent value for quality briar and classic shapes.
