Parker was closely associated with Dunhill from its beginnings in the 1920s and built a respected identity of its own around well-made English pipes. This Super Briar Bark shape 827 carries the group 4 size stamp and the deeply textured finish for which the line is known. More importantly, it remains new old stock with an untouched chamber—an uncommon survival for a pipe made to be used. The pipe measures 5.36 inches long, with a 0.73-inch chamber opening and a chamber depth of 1.25 inches. The pipe is stamped “Parker Super Briar Bark”; “Made in England”; circled “4”; “827”.
