Peterson’s 03 bent Apple keeps the firm, wide shank and strong transition that define the brand, but uses a rounded Apple bowl instead of their usual straight-sided styles. The bowl is full and rounded, matching the heavier proportions of the shank, giving the pipe a compact, muscular look. It’s one of Peterson’s most recognizable shapes because it works well in the hand or hanging comfortably from the jaw — familiar, traditional, and clearly Peterson.
Peterson has produced filter-capable pipes since 1947, with the brand’s stout shank design allowing the same shape to be offered in both filtered and non-filtered versions without changing the look. The Dublin Filter line has been the main filtered range since 1997, and in 2021 the Army Filter series was added. These pipes combine the practical, removable-while-hot army mount with 9mm filter drilling. The nickel army mount is hand-fitted and pairs well with the warm walnut stain of the Heritage finish. The pipes take Peterson’s own charcoal filters, sold in 40- and 150-count boxes.
