The Custom-Bilt name began with Tracy Mincer’s rugged American pipes of the 1930s and went on to pass through several owners and variations in stamping. This stout billiard carries the later one-word Custombilt mark along with Imported Briar, tying it to that broader American tradition without assigning it to an earlier Mincer period. The one-word stamp is an important part of the pipe’s identity. The pipe measures 5.62 inches long, with a 0.85-inch chamber opening and a chamber depth of 1.50 inches. The pipe is stamped “Custombilt”; “Imported Briar”.
