M.P.B.’s Golden Gnome 1001 Vintage Pipe

This Golden Gnome 1001 carries the early M.P.B. name used before the company adopted the Brebbia branding in 1968. That makes the stamp more than a simple logo: it places the pipe within the first era of the workshop’s production, after M.P.B. was founded in 1956 and before Brebbia became the public face of the company. It is an interesting piece of Italian pipe-making history in its own right. The pipe measures 5.45 inches long, with a 0.76-inch chamber opening and a chamber depth of 1.55 inches. The pipe is stamped Gnome stamp; “M.P.B.’s”; “Golden Gnome”; “1001”.
