Erik Nørding is one of the names most closely associated with modern Danish freehand pipe making, and his annual Hunting series has paired wildlife themes with distinctive handmade forms since 1995. The 2001 model was the Mallard, placing this example within the early years of the series. It remains complete with its original box and sock; fine dents are present on the underside and are reflected in the condition. The pipe measures 6.10 inches long, with a 0.82-inch chamber opening and a chamber depth of 1.40 inches. The pipe is stamped “2001”; “Handmade by Erik Nording”.
