From Nørding:
"Dear Erik Nørding.
The hunter created the basis of modern man. The success of hunting depended on the ability of using all our senses and develop a thorough knowledge of nature and animals. Nothing has changed since that time.
Hunters nowadays manage in the same way.
The owl has a unique eyesight, and a fantastic sense of hearing. It is able to catch high frequency sounds—and that combined with it’s asymmetric ears—makes the owl capable of localizing its prey precisely. There are more than 230 species of owls from the smallest of 13.5 cm to the biggest of more than 2m in wing span.
The body is covered with soft feathers and almost all of them have hollow bones; which make them nearly silent and extremely light in their manner of hunting.
In many places owl nesting boxes are placed in order to exterminate rats.
With kind Regards
Finn Henrik Kølke"
