NOS Yello-Bole Centura Rusticated Pipe

This classic Yello-Bole Centura Billiard offers a fantastic, textured alternative to its smooth counterparts, making it a stellar find for vintage American pipe enthusiasts. Finding a New Old Stock (NOS) piece in this unsmoked condition preserves a wonderful slice of mid-century pipe history.

Unlike the smooth finishes often seen on this line, this specimen features a deeply craggy, crinkled rustication across the entire stummel. The rich, dark chestnut-brown stain settles beautifully into the crevices of the textured briar, giving the pipe a rugged yet refined character. The Billiard shape is beautifully proportioned with a tall, straight-sided bowl and a strong, square-shouldered transition into the shank.

Despite the heavy texture, the stamping on the underside of the shank remains remarkably legible. It clearly displays the Yello-Bole Centura name and the Imported Briar mark pressed into a smooth, designated strip along the wood. The top of the rim is also fully rusticated, creating a seamless look right up to the chamber opening.

Because this is an unsmoked NOS piece, the chamber is immaculate and showcases the famous, vibrant yellow honey-cured bowl coating that promised a sweet break-in without any bitter briar taste. It comes fitted with its original push-stem, complete with the clean yellow circle-and-bar logo inlay. The vulcanite stem is in flawless, factory-fresh condition with a deep black shine and no oxidation or storage wear.
