These tampers are great for deep or shallow pipe bowls of pretty much any diameter. I purchased mine with the intend of using it with something else to create my own, unique tamper but now that I see how perfect this is for fitting in a pocket, I think this great tool is going to exist as it is. This is better in several ways, than other, long tampers most importantly because it does easily fit in any clothes pocket.
