Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake

Luxury Navy is a straightforward pressed Virginia and Perique flake. Its centre of gravity is sweet, grassy Virginia, with Perique adding a modest plum or fig note and a touch of pepper. Depending on the smoker and the age of the tobacco, it can seem bright and citrusy or more bready and mellow. It generally tastes less flavoured than Luxury Twist and less rounded than Bullseye: there is no Cavendish centre to soften the Perique. Expect a mild to medium smoke with a fairly consistent flavour through the bowl. Its appeal is the clear interplay of the two tobaccos rather than a strong topping.
