Peterson Army 106 Smooth Irish Estate Pipe

The 106 is one of Peterson’s larger straight Billiards. It sits a bit taller and longer than the 06 or X105, with a thicker shank and a stronger transition that gives the pipe more presence and weight in the hand. It’s a classic shape done in Peterson’s bolder style — traditional lines, but with the brand’s trademark solidity and feel.

Peterson has made 9mm filter options since the late 1940s, and the wide shanks on their shapes allow both filtered and non-filtered versions without changing the look. The Dublin Filter line has been the main filtered series since 1997, and the Army Filter line was introduced in 2021. Army Filter pipes pair the 9mm drilling with an army-style mount, meaning the stem can be removed even while warm.
