Stanwell Royal Briar 125

Stanwell helped bring Danish design to an international audience, combining the work of leading Scandinavian designers with dependable series production. This Royal Briar shape 125 comes from the Danish-made era and takes a quieter, more traditional approach than the brand’s dramatic freehands. Its balanced proportions make it a very usable example of classic Stanwell production. The pipe measures 5.26 inches long, with a 0.78-inch chamber opening and a chamber depth of 1.54 inches. The pipe is stamped “125”; “Stanwell”; “Royal Briar”; “Made in Denmark”. Note the stem was severely oxidized and had to be sanded down even after deoxidation treatment which makes it less flush with the shank of the pipe. It can be seen in the pictures.
