The Albany Pipe Made in England

The Albany Pipe appears to come from Britain’s private-label tradition, when tobacconists and retailers sold pipes made for them by established English factories. This full-length example is stamped Made in England and has a relatively deep chamber for a comfortably long smoke. The actual factory behind the Albany name remains unknown, so its appeal rests on honest English manufacture, proportion and condition. The pipe measures 5.76 inches long, with a 0.72-inch chamber opening and a chamber depth of 1.81 inches. The pipe is stamped “The Albany Pipe”; “Made in England”.
